Riley is a hardworking English actress best known to younger audiences as one of the loveable miscreants in the St. Trinian’s film series, Pirate Radio and TV’s Dr. Who. The 24-year-old’s career is on a pretty intense international upswing thanks to an appearance opposite Twilight’s Robert Pattinson in the iTunes original short The Summer House and a part in a little something called Inception.

Let’s start with The Summer House. Riley is a beautiful but reserved English girl who decides to spend the summer of 1969 in a friend’s French estate to recover from a broken heart, when out of the bushes comes Pattinson. The Summer House packs a lot of heat into just a few minutes.

Monsters and Critics – There are just 12 minutes to get to know Jane in Summer House. But you made her a dimensional person – how?
Talulah Riley – Daisy spent a lot of time with Rob and me discussing the back-story, so we were aware of our characters situations and the decisions they’d made to get them to the point where the audience meets them, in the film. Action is character, as they say, so just knowing that my character was the type of girl who would have to run away to France to get over a break-up, gave me a good place to start.

M&C – How did you get to ‘know’ her? What did you work on to determine what was she like, and what she thought, who she was?
TR – I was lucky enough to be given a copy of the book The Summer House, by the writer Ian Beck. This really helped me with the characterization. Prose is good for filling in the details – especially when there is very little dialogue.

Being mobbed every time you leave the house is all in a day’s work for Robert Pattinson.

But for Tate Ellington, who played Robert Pattinson’s on-screen best friend in Remember Me, thousands of screaming fans following you down the street is one helluva terrifying experience.

OK.co.uk’s Nicola McCafferty spent an evening chatting with Tate, the self-effacing actor who starred as Aidan Hall, about what life is like for the Twilight hunk; how tricky it is working with him and how they escaped the hysteria…

What was it like working with Rob on Remember Me, did you guys strike up an instant rapport?

„Yeah I think so [I hope so]! I met Rob at the screen test and luckily I wasn’t too nervous that day as I was like I probably won’t get the job so…

„But when I got the job and I met him again, he was automatically as nice as can be and I had to make a point to be more talkative as I can be really shy, and Rob had a bit of shyness too.

„I was happy he wasn’t like this big jerk coming into the room and he was utterly always so humble and nice about everything.“

You played Rob’s best friend in the movie, did you guys spend time getting to know each other in preparation?

„After I got the job we had a couple of times where we would go to the hotel where he was staying and get to know each other.

„We sat around and had a beer and just chatted – it was good.

„I felt very comfortable with him from the get go. And I met Emilie de Ravin not long after, and automatically we were all jerking around!“

Pattinson learns to run like hero

Robert Pattinson has revealed he had to train to run like a true action hero for new Twilight movie Eclipse.

The 24-year-old Hollywood heartthrob confessed to Reveal magazine his run in the first two Twilight films as brooding vampire Edward Cullen had been a bit weak, so he hit the treadmill.

Robert laughed: „I had to learn how to run properly. In the last two films, I ran in a limp/skip. I had to run more solidly this time so I spent a lot of time on a giant treadmill. It was like one of those things that mice run around in.“

Robert also had to brush up on his fighting skills for a scene with new co-star Bryce Dallas Howard, who plays villain Victoria.

The actor admits he used a body double for the most dramatic parts, but movie bosses were still impressed with his action moves.

Robert revealed: „Weirdly, one of the producers told me: ‘Wow, you look so enthusiastic in that fight scene. Much more than in any other one in the series’. It’s always hard to do stuff with Bryce because she’s the gentlest person and is always laughing. And she’s afraid of hurting me!“

This interview sounds a little „off“. There are quotes from the Eclipse press conference, a few interviews and some new ones (like the ones about Uma Thurman).

I can’t say if it’s real or not, maybe some things were lost in translation. *shrugs“

ONCE AGAIN: ROBERT PATTINSON

Robert Pattinson is on the news again with the release of his most recent movie The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. In this interview young actor talks about Uma Thurman and Reese Witherspoon with whom he worked with in his two new movies, and how he works with his lover Kristen Stewart on set.

- According to what we’ve heard you were so hilarious on set that Taylor Lautner says you always had to reshoot because of your jokes.
Not really, I’m not funny at all (laughs), he is just kidding. These rumors are spread so that I won’t look too grumpy in interviews (laughs louder).

- But isn’t it like a caricature that you are a romantic vampire and that Taylor is a muscular werewolf? You should be laughing about this a lot when cameras are off.
Yes, in fact, it is funny but what’s funnier is that actually I have to be as muscular as he is (laughs). I can’t go to the gym, what can I do.

- What makes this new movie enjoyable for you?
I think the increase in the number of actors. In the first two movies there were only two couples and no more. This time cast is expanding and everybody has an important part in the story. This means a large cast with small roles. Also in this movie there are grandiose fight scenes as opposed to the first two movies. And this is a different stand for a Twilight movie.

Q: Who is your favorite Twilight character?

CS: It would probably be Edward. Edward and Alice. He’s like the perfect guy ever and [she] is pretty, sassy and cool. She’s got a lot of great one-liners.

Q: Have you thought of bridging the two interests and doing musicals?

CS: That would be really cool. It would have to be a really bomb musical.

Q: A vampire musical?

CS: A vampire musical. That would be really cool. I’d be down for something like that. It would have to be something really creepy, like Repo The Genetic Opera. I feel if it’s going to be a musical, it has to be really edgy.

Q: Can you imagine a Twilight musical?

CS: Imagine Robert [Pattinson] singing as Edward Cullen? That would be cool.
