Не взимайте напълно насериозно интервюто по-долу. Някой неща в него са твърде странни, други на място. Най-вероятно само част от интервюто е реална, а друга измислена от авторите. Чакаме аудио запис, за да разберем доколко е вярно.
Robert Pattinson appears a little befuddled. The Twilight heart-throb has come straight from a night-shoot on the movie he’s filming, Water For Elephants, into our interview. In real life, Rob couldn’t be further removed from the character he plays in the Twilight saga, Edward Cullen. He’s warm, funny, and, in sharp contrast to Edward, very relaxed. There are no pouts and fiery-eyed stares from Pattinson. He and co-star Kristen Stewart will not discuss their off-screen relationship, despite ’jokingly’ stealing a kiss on stage at the MTV Movie Awards in June, but he’s happy to talk about anything else, from the serious to the trivial. Clearly, he was not built for superstardom – he finds the interview process awkward – but he’s loosened up since his early pre-Twilight interviews and luckily he’s not cursed with an A-lister’s ego. Dressed in jeans and white shirt, his famously wild hair neatly cropped, he settles down for a natter about life…
Have your mates ever called you Edward by mistake?
People have called me Edward – not family, that would be weird! My mates might have done it to rib me. They don’t really know about Twilight, but some of them found out about this R-Pattz thing, so now one of them always calls me R-Pattz, which he thinks is hilarious.
Edward can read thoughts. If we could hear your thoughts, what would they sound like?
Complete silence, dust blowing in the wind. Or maybe just like white noise…
You filmed Bel Ami with Twilight’s Robert Pattinson earlier this year – did you get swept up on the hysteria?
No, you wouldn’t have known. Robert Pattinson is the loveliest man–he’s just so sweet….
Unless you live in another planet, you certainly know the actor Robert Pattinson plays the wonderful vampire Edward Cullen in Twilight and New Moon. You also know that the next installment of the saga, written by the american writter Stephenie Meyer, Eclipse, will come to the theaters soon, more specifically on June 30th. Now, in the third chapter of the story, Bella has to choose between vampire Edward and werewolf Jacob. You probably already know the path this will take.
So, how about something you don’t know? We were very lucky. We interviewed Robert Pattinson in Los Angeles, two days after his 24th birthday, and we asked him about his work in Eclipse, what to expect from Breaking Dawn and how does he handle the pressures of fame. He also talked about who he’s a fan of and why he doesn’t deserve a spot in the best dressed and sexiest men lists.
A: First and foremost, happy belated birthday! Well, since you play a character that never grows old, how do you deal with birthdays?
RP: Playing a vampire makes me feel like I’m getting older faster than I actually am, cause every six months I come back to the set and everyone says: „What have you been doing? It seems like you’re one year older.“ I turned 24 and I feel like 35.
A: Eclipse opens very soon. Do you think the fans will be surprised?
RP: Twilight had a story more focused on Edward and Bella and New Moon was more about Jacob. So, Eclipse is interesting cause everyone has their place and the audience can see Edward, Bella and Jacob interacting with each other.
A: And to you, what was the biggest challenge in playing Edward this time around?
After three Twilights, Bella Swan is still a virgin. Which is one more virgin than you can expect to find in Robert Pattinson’s forthcoming, sex-filled period piece Bel Ami, co-starring Uma Thurman.
„It’s about a character called Georges Duroy, who is a broke ex-soldier in Paris in 1890. Basically, he has no drive. He’s just jealous of everything. I quite liked the story,“ Pattinson says, describing his role as „a completely amoral, evil character.“
Despite the European period setting, he also believes the themes are universal.
„Kids nowadays, everyone feels entitled. You see someone who wants to do a job, but they don’t want to do an entry level job. ‘I want $100,000 a year as soon as I’m out of the gate.’
„That’s exactly what this guy is like. But he’s completely talentless. The only thing he does is, by accident, he finds this guy he’s in the army with in a brothel, and this other guy wants to impress him, so he gives (Georges) some money and invites him around.
„It ends up being like he invited the devil into his house. (Georges) seduces his wife and seduces all his wife’s friends. Every single influential woman he can get, he has an affair with. And he ends up screwing over the entire society and making millions and millions of francs. It’s a story about how the s—s can completely win sometimes, just by doing absolutely nothing and stabbing everybody in the back.“
Twilight and Harry Potter have a lot in common. Too much perhaps, which is probably why I’ve never taken to either. Both are hugely popular movie series based on hugely popular book series, the final installment of which will be split into two different films. Both are fantasy adventures aimed at younger audiences with fans that fall into pretty much every movie-going demographic. Both are led by a cast of two guys and a girl.
But here’s where the similarities end: Nine years and six films into the Harry Potter franchise, it’s three principals — Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson — have yet to become major stars outside of Potter. Neither has Twilight’s lead threesome, set to return June 30 in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. Unlike the Potter trio, though, people actually know the names Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart — whether they’ve seen a Twilight movie or not (thanks, in large part, to endless tabloid coverage).
But years from now, long after Twilight has joined Lord of the Rings in the annals of Hollywood, which of its three leads will have gone on to the biggest and best things.
Will it be Kristen Stewart? Playing Mary Lou in the upcoming Walter Salles-directed adaptation of On the Road is a good career move, but she has the aura of an actress destined — perhaps not entirely unintentionally — for an after-Twilight filmography of supporting roles in interesting but smallish films.
Or Taylor Lautner? He’s surrounded by solid, dependable talent in Abduction, the upcoming thriller directed by John Singleton and costarring Sigourney Weaver, Maria Bello and Alfred Molina. But Lautner seems intent on sticking to the Hollywood mainstream, where box-office pull is the only measure of success, and one big hit — or a massive franchise — doesn’t necessarily mean there will be others.
The Story of the rise to power of Georges Duroy in Paris by manipulating the city’s most influential and wealthy women. This film stars Twilight’s Robert Pattinson and many are anxiously waiting to see if Robert can hold his own against Hollywood sirens like Uma Thurman and Kristen Scott Thomas.
What’s this, another Robert Pattinson film? Of course, he is the hottest thing in Hollywood right now. He plays a veterinarian who joins a traveling circus in the Great Depression. Oscar winners Reese Witherspoon and Christoph Waltz star in this heart felt film about a torn love between his character and the married Marlena (Reese Witherspoon) and his new way of training a stubborn elephant that should get the approval of PETA.

In The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, the third chapter in Stephenie Meyer’s hugely successful series, Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) is forced to choose between her love for vampire Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) and her friendship with werewolf Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner), as both fight to protect her and show why they are the one she should spend her life with.
At a press conference to promote the film’s upcoming release, actor Robert Pattinson talked about working more closely with Taylor Lautner, getting through that tent scene, how Edward Cullen has evolved throughout the films and how he’s looking forward to working with director Bill Condon for both parts of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn. He also gave some insight into his upcoming roles in Bel Ami, Water for Elephants and Unbound Captives.
Q: What drives you to succeed?
Robert: Probably fear of failure and an inadequacy complex.
Q: This role is considered a romantic hero, but Edward is also very possessive. How do you think Edward has changed, throughout the films?
Robert: In the first two movies, he feels desolation from reality, so when he finds one thing to hold onto, that’s where the possessiveness comes from. I think, as the series goes on, he accepts more of the contemporary world. All the things that were deemed to be flawed before start fading away, and that’s how I’m trying to play him. He’s coming out of his shell a little bit in Eclipse, so hopefully, by the end of Breaking Dawn, he’ll be a normal 17-year-old guy, who’s just a little bit pale.
Q: What’s the one part of your costume that always transforms you into character?
Robert: Probably the contact lenses. They make me miserable, as soon as I put them in. That’s what creates the pouting and brooding character.
